Star Wars Yay
Yesterday was May 4, better known as May the fourth, better known as may the fourth be with you. Now being called "Star Wars Day," it's a chance for people that feel called to a galaxy far far away to showcase their knowledge about all things Star Wars. Being a monkey, I had never seen any of the movies. I mean, I'd never had a TV until I came here because obviously it's hard to mount a TV on a tree. Since I didn't have a TV, I also hadn't heard about this "Star Wars" until a few days ago when people started getting excited and posting about some guy in a mask that has a son who didn't know the guy was his dad and then they were fighting or something. I was confused. So, like any curious monkey, I stole some guys yellow hat, got on a computer, and streamed the movies from some online site. You can judge, but species discrimination prevents me from getting a job and money. Anyways, I watched a marathon of all even of the episodes and then that other one about rogue people. It was interesting, but confusing because I didn't know what order to do them in. Should I do it by release year or by number? Should I care? I decided to do it in order because why not. After spending an entire day staring at a screen and becoming one with the force, I was amazed. It's no wonder people love these movies. By far my favorite one was "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" because it had the best character: Jar Jar Binks. I mean who could hate him? He's so fun, useful, and he has an amazing voice. Every time he's in a scene it gets so much more exciting. I just wish he had more parts in the other movies.
I didn't have much to do yesterday, so I went for a walk to enjoy the nice Star Wars Day weather, and to reflect on everything from the movies that I had just seen. So you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a droid while on my walk! Apparently his name was ER-1C, but I just called him Eric because it's close enough. We had a nice chat, but I had no idea what he was saying. Still he was pretty cool. He wasn't blue like that one in the movies, instead he was yellow. But that's OK with me because is the color of bananas. That makes me think of bananas. I need a banana.
